The demonstrated revolver-type system for launching hypersonic missiles from a heavy-lift transport aircraft is not the most effective option. The revolver itself is quite heavy and completely unnecessary in complexity. A more effective format is a container parallelepiped. It only needs a rail feeder and a pneumatic ejection system. The system will be more cost-effective.

Such systems will also be able to launch air-to-air missiles that can be guided by another AWACS aircraft.

Or it could be a large number of unmanned systems or gliding bombs.

Using a pneumatic system instead of an electromagnetic one is also simpler. High-pressure air can be obtained from engines and additionally compressed. And an electromagnetic catapult will require a powerful additional generator.
